Little House on the Water (Blog Hop Story)

TropicalPrompt

Mandatory words: laugh, saw, degree, binge, lord

It sits as a place of solitude against the backdrop of adventure; disconnected from plugins of the world, there is permission to go dark from the electronic grid tethering the spirit to constant expectations. Unbeknownst to the soul of this place, there are burdens weighing upon the guest who seeks refuge here; upon a single breath of silky breeze, what was once bearing down is swept away within the gentle rustle of a treetop canopy.

Invited is the soul who rests in this tropical degree upon the map, to laugh freely in the sheer joy of release from demands that lord over conventional ways and popular thought of what should be. There is freedom to binge on fresh perspective found in what the mind once saw as primitive–value becomes clear in the simple and quiet and natural.

No longer connected, one is no longer distracted by false happiness, fed by the pretty lights and sounds of what is “liked” within the virtual realm. One becomes reawakened to what is real in the time spent here. This little house on the water is a magical place that unlocks a simple secret for whoever shall grace its doorway, unconfined by the tethers of another world.

  1. I love the line – “No longer connected, one is no longer distracted by false happiness, fed by the pretty lights and sounds of what is ‘liked’ within the virtual realm.”

You pack a lot of truth in these few words.
