Blog Hop Photo Reveal!

The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. ~Abraham Lincoln.

You know, sometimes I wish I could look ahead and see what’s coming so I can prepare–mentally and emotionally bolster myself for what’s to come. But I have come to realize that in doing so, I would perhaps be missing the great treasures life has for me right now. It’s a gift to take things one day at a time–to ignore the world’s urgent pressure to “hurry up and be better” and rather slow down to experience the entirety of now. I dare say, fully immersing into what each day holds is the best way to gather and prepare for what’s to come later.

With that said, welcome to Wednesday– (and to Leanne’s philosophical take on what was just a moment ago a random, boring day on the calendar). Ha! 🙂

We have a fresh Writer Wednesday photo prompt for you today, brought to us by the one and only Mrs. Debb Stanton of Stanton Sunshine! Soak in the cheeriness of this dear writer-friend folks. Let this dose of fun poke a hole of inspiration into your day! Enjoy!

Hello dear friends! Happy First Day of Autumn! I don’t know about you, but Autumn to me means: back to writing. I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to write a story but this week, but I’ll give you a hint: The three stories below all touched me and made me smile. Take a look:

The News by Scott Taylor
Trick In The Treat by Leanne Sype
Will You… by Heather Musk

I challenge myself, and you, too, to submit a story by next Tuesday evening, September 30th. In case you aren’t familiar with the guidelines, they are:

1) Use the two photos or one photo and five mandatory words, whatever is given, in your story.
2) Keep your word count 500 or less.
3) You have until next Tuesday night to link up your story to the little blue frog at the bottom.
4) Have fun, don’t stress, and let those creative juices flow!
5) Check back next Wednesday to read the new stories — if they touch you in any way, please feel free to reblog them.
Okay…ready for the prompts? I held back from choosing five words (my favorite kind of prompt) and will go with the two-photo prompt idea…

    • This is great news, Morgan! I am going to design your button; would you like to have your profile image as your button or would you like it more artsy, matching the scheme of your blog? If you’d like to use your profile image, I’ll just need you to email your file. In addition to the design, I will put your name and your blog name on the button. 🙂

Once I have a draft of your button, I will email it to you to make sure you like it before we publish it on Wednesday.
